The Evergain Sauna Hothouse with Far Infrared is a form of electromagnetic light energy from the sun. It falls within the same family as Infrared Rays in the light spectrum, but due to its longer wavelengths, FIR cannot be seen by human eyes, just like ultraviolet rays and X-rays. Instructions For Setup

Unfold both side walls of the FIR Sauna Hothouse to let it stand upright.

Put the Timer Control Box into the plastic housing, if it is not in.

Close the zipper from the bottom of back wall to the front end, and place the foam floor cushion in place, with the glossy side facing upward.

The wired foot pad, with its footprint facing upward, should then be placed on the cushion near the front end.

Put the folding chair on the rear part of the cushion. The unit is ready for use.

* Please note that while handling the setup or close down, always keep away from sharp objects that may damage the unit.

Instructions For Use

1. Plug the power socket into a proper electrical outlet. If an extension cord must be used, it must be of less than 3 meters long. No other electrical appliances should be connected into the same extension cord.

2. After sitting on the folding chair inside, you can close the zipper all the way up to your neck, and close the Velcro strap on the neck.

3. Extend your hands outside through the hand slots to set the controls.

4. Press the POWER buttons once to activate the LED digital display showing 00 in the display window. Press TIMER button to preset for 10, 20 or 30 minutes. The timer will simultaneously turn on the heater and the FIR. The timer will start to count down until 0 when the power will be shut off automatically.

5. Press the FOOT button to turn on the heating element and FIR on the foot pad. If you start to feel that the foot pad is too hot, you can move your feet to the sides or press the FOOT button again to turn it off.

6. When a thorough sweating has been accomplished, turn off the power from the Timer Control Box and take a warm shower.

7. Wipe off any sweat on the chair and cushion and close down the FIR Sauna Hothouse, using the reverse procedures from above, if required.

Important Information About Far Infrared Heat

We call a FIR Sauna a "soft heat sauna" meaning it is not the heat that causes the sweating, but rather the energy penetrating into the body that causes the sweating. For a conventional sauna, the heat (about 250 degrees) generated will heat up the air around (and burning the oxygen in the air) and heat up the body in turn, forcing the skin to sweat. There is a burning sensation and is not very comfortable. In the FIR Sauna, the FIR energy comes out in a radiation form, penetrating 1" directly into the human tissue, invigorating the cellular activities (and producing heat inside), causing the skin to sweat FROM THE INSIDE OUT. The heat is about 150 degrees maximum, with no burning of oxygen, and therefore the user is very comfortable, and this is an excellent way for detoxification.

This sauna is NOT like a sauna you may have used in a health spa ... it's a dryer, more therapeutic type of heat.

To sit comfortably in this portable sauna, we suggest a maximum height of 6' and weight of 195 lbs. Therefore, the Sauna SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED if the user is over 6' tall and weighs over 195 lbs.
