The latest member of the best-selling Sirius family, it boasts completely redesigned circuitry, including an advanced processor which is four times faster than Sirius'. It includes the following new features:

Realtime BiColor output:

The Proteus mind machine controls two color output channels in real time! This means (for example) that relaxation frequencies can be set to soothing green, while energizing frequencies are the appropriate red. We deliver the system with superbright �emerald green� and ruby red� LEDs, with other color combinations and applications under development.

Totally programmable:

We�ve developed a simple, yet very powerful Windows-hosted programming tool, available free of charge.

Totally upgradeable:

Proteus uses advanced Flash memory for both session and operating system data. This means that you can download not only new session groups but that the entire operating system can be upgraded. Future upgrades will include such advanced features as wavetable crossfading; dual binaural beats; BioConnect(tm) real-time biofeedback control, and more.

Wavetable audio:

PROTEUS includes stereo audio converters, enabling production of binaural beats and other waveforms. You can store up to four different waveforms in Proteus, and we include a FREE audio waveform editor with every system sold.

Enhanced AudioStrobe:

We�ve fine-tuned our AudioStrobe decoder circuitry, providing a much crisper, intense experience.

199 program capacity:

Proteus ships with expanded versions of the best programs taken from our earlier products (especially Orion (now Sirius Light and Sound Mind Machine and MindLab). A total of fifty programs are preloaded into Proteus when you receive it. Plus, there is plenty of space remaining for you download your own creations�about 2,000 segments altogether in two separate banks.

Proteus can hold up to 199 programs in nonvolatile memory, as much as machines costing nearly twice as much. In fact, it does more than many machines in the $300-$400 category, yet is much more compact (no heavy metal cabinet to scratch your tabletop), lightweight, and attractive.

Random sessions: Proteus Editor�s Randomize function takes this a step further, allowing you to define limits to segment length, frequency, etc., then automatically creates as many random segments as you wish. Recap:

It features both rich red and deep green lights. While red is stimulating, green is relaxing. The results of using both red and green light is very intense "magical" imagery. When your eyes are closed, you actually see "dichroic colors", the same vivid iridescent colors that occur on tropical birds.

The Proteus has an amazing array of programs featuring different uses of sound. There are many changes in the sounds that you hear while using the many programs. This definitely impacts your state of consciousness because sound quickly changes emotions.

The Proteus is special because it has dual color choices, meaning that you can accent one color over the other. For example, you can slowly dim red light, while slowly increasing the intensity of green light. This can be a great boon to transitioning between brain states.

The Proteus software also allows you to alter sound waves. You can change sound waves from square, to sine, to triangle. What this means is that the quality of your sessions can be dramatically impacted. Square sound waves are typical of wind instruments like a trumpet, while sine waves occur in piano and violin. Triangle waves are what occur in percussions instruments like drums and triangles. If you are a sound wave voyeur, you'll have fun with the Proteus.
