Therefore, this royal Ginseng became known as "Emperor's Tribute Ginseng." Anyone caught stealing this Ginseng would lose their head. This royal crop was considered to be the prime spiritual herb of the "Son of Heaven," the spiritual head of the Central Kingdom, known today as China.
At the end of the imperial era, the imperial Changbai Mountain Ginseng Preserve was shut down by the new government. However, about 12 years ago, the half brother of the last emperor of China petitioned the government to start growing Ginseng in the preserve again. It was a good idea and the government agreed without hesitation. Since caretakers had preserved seed stock, it was possible to grow the same superior quality Ginseng as was used by the former emperors and their families.
Three years ago, the Preserve harvested its first crop of this Ginseng. Phytochemical and pharmacological tests were conducted, and it was discovered that this Ginseng was the most potent Ginseng available on the world market. Animal studies showed that it had fantastic adaptogenic and energizing benefits.
So far, only small quantities of Emperor's Tribute Ginseng have been harvested and sold. However, Ron Teeguarden has obtained sufficient quantities to use the emperor's Ginseng in Supreme Creation.
