The quality is immediately apparent to anyone who touches it. The binding is color coordinated to match the cover and the whole pad has a non-skid backing. They are deliberately slightly narrower and shorter so they will fit on the mattress without overhang and can be covered with a conventional mattress pad to help prevent soiling.

Our pad is placed on top of your mattress pad and under the sheets. The pillow pad can be slipped into a pillow case on top or below the pillow.
Quilted construction provides enough cushion so you won't feel the magnets. No solvent-based adhesives are used so they can be safely used by environmentally sensitive individuals.
The magnetic mattress pads that we offer are using grade 8 ferrite
ceramic magnets that are placed in a 4" grid over the entire surface of the
pad. Depending on the size, you can measure a 1 gauss field with a
magnetometer at approximately 8" - 12" above the surface of the pad. The
mattress pad itself is constructed of loom state fabrics that contain no
fillers or resins and the mattress is bonded together without using any
solvent based adhesives.
By using a thin pad construction the user can enjoy the feel of his
existing mattress while being in closer contact with the magnets themselves
which will increase the field strength. By making the pad from only the
highest quality materials, environmentally sensitive customers can lay on
the pad without any fear of allergic reactions.
Regarding the differences between an all north mattress and
bipolar mattresses:
A lot of the people that are selling all north mattresses
are basically playing on peoples fears when they suggest that getting the
south pole on you is a bad thing. This is essentially a way to scare
people into buying a certain mattress while not buying another. These
claims of danger come from the research that Davis and Rawls did when
looking at what effect individual poles have. (They said that all south
pole magnets can speed up the growth of cancer cells) With bipolar
magnetism any pole specific effect would be counteracted because of the
equal quantities of the opposite pole's magnetism. Bipolar mattress
produce a neutral magnetism instead of pole specific magnetism and this is
why the Japanesse have been using the bipolar configuration for over 50
years now because they believe it to be superior to an all north field.
To avoid confusion we offer the all north facing pads since 99% of the
people wanting to buy a mattress pad are looking for this type of product.
A word about gauss ratings
Our magnetic products use a grade 8 ferrite ceramic magnets that are 1" in
diameter and 1/6" thick. Grade 8 is the highest number commercially available ... there are no "grade 9" magnets!
We don't list gauss ratings because gauss by itself is not a
good indicator of the strength of the magnet being described. There are an
infinite number of individual points on a magnet so theoretically we could provide you with
an infinite number of different "gauss readings" for that magnet. (As you
move towards the edge of the magnet the gauss reading will increase because
the field is being condensed as it pulls in towards the equator of the
magnet.
Because of this, and because other companies can easily "manipulate" gauss ratings, we concentrate more on the quality of the item.
