MindSpa Programs
MindSpa Personal Development System Light and Sound Mind Machine Program 1 and 7 are basic sessions, which mean they can be used any time you desire deep rest and relaxation, or want to feel more energized and motivated. Programs 2 through 6 are to be used through one of two of our special processes as recommended below. Optimal results are achieved by following our easy-to-use instructions.
The first step is to decide what benefits you would like to achieve. Though you may want to accomplish several objectives, choose one goal first and focus on gaining the desired results, then move on to the next goal.
How to use the MindSpa Personal Development Programs
MindSpa utilizes unique yet simple processes for effectively attaining significant results within the first few weeks of use. These proprietary processes are one of the major innovations to MindSpa's effectiveness, having been developed exclusively for A/V Stim by clinical psychologist, Ruth Olmstead, Ph.D.
Approach #1
For four weeks, choose one of the programs (Programs 2 through 5 are recommended) and use the same program twice per week. As with physical exercise, the mind can benefit in taking time off between programs. More frequent use may not necessarily increase or accelerate the final outcome.
These programs are designed to optimize overall performance, used one at a time, in four week increments.
Upon completion of the four week period, you may then graduate on to the next program. Optionally, if you have a single goal, such as enhancing focus and attention, you may continue use of the same program on a regular basis for additional reinforcement.
Approach #2
For overall performance development, use the programs in numerical order. After using Program 1 comfortably, advance to Program 2. Use for four weeks, two times per week, then graduate through each successive program (3 - 6) resulting in a twenty week process.
After several weeks, you should begin to experience subtle but noticeable mental performance improvements. In approximately three to four months you will notice improvements in overall clarity and sharpness.

How to gain maximum benefit from MindSpa
Find a comfortable sitting or reclining position. Use your MindSpa in a quite place where you will not be disturbed. Set the volume low enough just to be comfortably heard. Set the light intensity at a level that is bright but comfortable for you. Begin the program and close your eyes.
As you enter each session, allow the thoughts in your mind to float freely. This is a special time for deep relaxation. After the first few minutes you will begin to feel yourself entering a calm, focused state of awareness. Just let go! It is natural to drift into a light sleep as this is part of the MindSpa process.
You may optionally use relaxing music with your session. You may connect it through the unit via the auxiliary input, or directly into your tape or CD player, bypassing the unit. Learning, self-help and visualization programs are also an excellent addition to your sessions.
When you begin your sessions, learn to breathe deeply for relaxation and tension reduction through your diaphragm.
Important Notice: Special considerations before beginning use
The use of MindSpa is safe for most people as no serious side effects are known. However, there are certain instances where MindSpa should only be used with the prior approval and monitoring of a medical or health care professional.
• Persons suffering from any sort of serious medical condition, including epilepsy, brain injury, mental impairments, visual photosensitivity. Those with serious physical conditions including those using a pacemaker or suffering cardiac arrhythmia or other heart disorders must consult with a medical professional before beginning use.
• Use with children or minors only with prior parental consent and monitoring.
• Do not use while on medication or while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Discontinue use if experiencing any sort of adverse reactions such as dizziness, migraine, or severe anxiety. Please consult with a medical professional, if these symptoms occur.
